Trying to remember how to take portraits

I had few things I wanted to do before having a kid in June - obviously do as many hikes as I could, but also do one portrait photoshoot for fun. It had been over a year since the last portrait session, only because of my 9-to-5 job had gotten quite busy. Photography is simply something I do for fun, so when life gets busy it’s easy to forget - so when my colleague K was up for a relaxed photoshoot around Lonsdale Quay here in North Vancouver I was super excited!

It’s already been 5 months since these photos were taken, but wanted to share a few as I truly loved the experience. It was so nice to see how quickly my gorgeous colleague relaxed in front of the camera and unleashed her supermodel skills. She’s such a gorgeous humanbeing in real life and I was glad we were able to capture the gorgeousness through the lens as well!

It was quite a windy day and it also started to rain during the photoshoot, but K was such a rockstar and didn’t let it bother her at all! She’s quite a smiley person in real life, but she pulled off these more serious looks perfectly (although I must admit that we both bursted up laughing quite quickly as it was so out of character for her haha).

Isn’t she gorgeous???
Okay now I stop fan girling - until next time. :)
