Fun for everyone - Laity Pumpkin Patch in Maple Ridge, BC

What would be an autumn be without a visit to a pumpkin patch? Well still an autumn, but little less fun!

During my two years in Canada I’ve been to two separate pumpkin patches - 2024 I explored Laity Pumpkin Patch in Maple Ridge and 2025 Taves Family Farms in Abbotsford (such a lovely day with apple picking!). This year it was time to return to Laity Pumpkin Patch, as our family has grown by a little human and we wanted to find a farm which would be suitable with strollers as well. Luckily Laity Pumpkin Patch has two different sides - South, which we visited in 2024, and North which is more suitable for families with children aged 0-7 years.

Note: All of the photos are from the North-side as I have zero idea how similar the South-part is after 2 years.

Small pumpkins were CAD 2/each (we bought 5)

Laity North is the original farm and pumpkin patch for over 40 years and is 18 acres large, when again South location opened in 2017 and is bit bigger with 20 acres area. Both of the locations are 5 minutes drive from each other, so you can visit both - but you will also need to pay entrance fees separately (both CAD 13-16/adult per farm entry) as there are no combination fees at this stage.

Both of the locations offer a great place to spend a lovely day outdoors - you can make your way through corn maze, pet farm animals and obviously pick pumpkins. Based on my experience Laity South truly had little bit more ‘adulty/older kids’-vibe with ‘western’ pumpkin town and pumpkin canon, when again Laity North catered perfectly for younger kids with fairytale forest and big play yards. Therefore if you don’t have kids or have kids over 7 years old, Laity South is 100% better choice.

Collected my own pumpkin

In 2024 my husband and I also visited the Patch Brewery and I had the pumpkin beer, which I liked even though I’m not a beer-drinker. This year we skipped the brewery, but strong recommendation for drinks, food and snacks if you are exploring Laity - just have little bit of patience, it can be crowded.

But now - until next time!
