During June I spent 10 days in Finland and was lucky enough to get to capture some Midsummer photos for my loved ones & wanted to share a few.

Experiencing fresh summer days as a visitor instead of living the daily life in a country I used to call my home offered a new perspective. Obviously I still can and will call Finland my home base - no matter where I am, Finland will always hold a special place in my heart. All the memories, growing pains… those can never be rewritten.

During this photoshoot I also got to play around a bit with camera settings as I wanted to practice capturing motion blur. Model had to spin quite a lot, but luckily a) she didn’t lose her balance and b) we got some extremely atmospheric shots that we both were obsessed with!

I just wanted to come here to say quick hello and also share few shots from previous weeks. I was honored to take birthday photographs of this beautiful girl who turned 12. In their culture turning 12 means transformation to being a woman and the goal of the photoshoot was to capture this, while keeping girl’s own, unique personality in mind.

Last weekend our small group of 4 went outdoors to enjoy beautiful sunny day, to experience Big Cedar and Kennedy Falls. To be honest we decided the hike on the same week - Vancouver & always changing weather forecast can sometimes make it a bit hard to make plans well in advance.

February might not be my favourite month, but if there is something I ADORE it’s Valentine’s Day. All of the pink hearts that cover up the store windows, little signs & chocolate boxes saying ‘my love’ and other cheesy quotes just have a special place in my heart. And I’m not even a romantic person!
